I WANT TO BE A VOLUNTEER

We believe that education will change Brazil’s future. Therefore, our goal at CPM is to promote
equal opportunities in Brazil by teaching English and promoting social integration. If you relate to these
values and want to change other people’s reality, join us and be a volunteer of Cidadão Pró-Mundo!

As a CPM Volunteer, you can choose to work either in the regular English course or in the CPM QUALIFY project.

The regular English course starts at the basic level, and after completing 10 semesters, students complete the course with a B1 level of English (intermediate level). This is equivalent to the third level of the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR).

For students who are interested in continuing to develop their English language skills after completing the regular course, Cidadão Pró-Mundo offers the option of being part of the CPM Qualify project, a one-year intensive course that prepares students for Cambridge’s international proficiency certification exam, the most widely recognized assessment system in the world.

* The Cidadão Pró-Mundo English course (which is normally an on-site course), has been completely online since the second semester of 2020.

* Starting second semester of 2022, the Campinas, Diadema and Tatuapé Teaching Units will return with classes in the ON-SITE (in person) format.

* Next semester, ALL OTHER CPM Teaching Units will continue holding classes in the ONLINE format (live remote classes), including the CPM Qualify Unit.

* We were extremely successful in adapting the format of our English course to the online version and have decided to broaden the scope and impact of CPM’s activities. So, even when CPM classes return 100% to the face-to-face model, we will maintain the possibility for some students and volunteers to continue teaching online at our Virtual Unit.

* We will prioritize candidates that do not live in the cities where CPM has Teaching Units when we select volunteers for the Virtual Unit. Candidates who do meet this criteria will be considered only if there is space available.

* All candidates who apply for a Teaching Unit other than the Virtual Unit must be prepared to teach in person when the Unit is able to offer face-to-face classes again.

* In order to apply for a volunteer position at Cidadão Pró-Mundo during the second semester of 2022, carefully read the description of the different positions available (below), access the link on each description, and fill out the application form by May 22, 2022.

* We recommend accessing the application form with Google Chrome, which is the best browser to view the app. Should you experience technical difficulties while filling out the form, use a different browser to access the system and, if necessary, a different device (mobile phone or computer).

IMPORTANT! Selected candidates will be interviewed by the Unit they apply to (check date on the enrollment form) and, upon approval, will take part in a pedagogical training course before classes begin.
